Part III - Asking questions, clearing up doubts, always, no matter how absurd they may seem

How many times do I open a text document and come across questions that, at first glance, seem completely absurd? Oh, it's almost every day. In my experience, the best thing is to clear up the client's doubts as soon as possible within the most reasonable timeframe possible, to allow time to respond and then, if necessary, make the necessary adjustments. It's true, sometimes there seems to be no time because the work is small and the deadline is very short… if the doubt persists and is really important, it's always better to ask. Deadlines are also minimally calculated to accommodate unforeseen events. At least, most of the time. Or the client ends up giving more time because they know it's better to answer the question and receive the text a little later, but well-written. And, yes, most clients prefer this care in communicating, in acting, in wanting to know in order to do better. Furthermore, when we point out a typo or incorrect use of a term in the source text, the client appreciates it. We give them the opportunity to correct the original text and inform other teams that are translating into other languages. Again, communication doesn't offend when we genuinely show interest, commitment, and strive to deliver a higher quality text. Always ask questions, without fear or shame! Language is quality, and Quality is language!
